Trinity Women's Track And Field Finishes Fifth At Coast Guard Invitational

New London, Conn. - Junior Sarah Ciarleglio (Waterbury, Conn.) won the javelin throw with a heave of 127'02" and freshman Chinwe Oparocaha (Willingboro, N.J.) won the discus throw at 123'06" and finished second in the hammer throw at 127'08" to lead the Trinity College Bantams to fifth place at the United States Coast Guard Academy Invitational this afternoon.  Trinity totaled 69 points, which was six shy of fourth-place Connecticut College and three more than sixth-place Rhode Island College.  Westfield State won the meet with 120 points. 

Trinity sophomore Annie Penfield-Cyr (Underhill, Vt.), freshmen Julianne McDonough (Peabody, Mass.) and Caroline Hultgren (Southlake, Texas) finished 2-4-6 in the 800-meter run just 3.25 seconds apart, while freshman Chelsea Gordon (Haworth, N.J.) was third and junior Genevieve Quinn (Hartford, Conn.) earned fifth in the 5,000-meter run.
