Trinity Women's Track And Field Team And Athletes Earn Academic And Sportsmanship Honors
Hartford, Conn. – Trinity College women's indoor track and field senior captain Katlin Mock (Albany, N.Y.), senior Genevieve Quinn (Hartford, Conn.), junior Elizabeth Preysner (Wethersfield, Conn.) and sophomores Sarah Ballinger (Sciutaue, Mass.), Julianne McDonough (Peabody, Mass.), and Tanya Nongera (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) were each selected to the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Winter All-Academic Team, while all but Preysner graced the NESCAC Spring All-Academic Team. Quinn was also chose to represent Trinity women's track and field on the NESCAC 2012 Spring All-Sportsmanship Team, and the Bantam squad was named as United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Academic Teams for posting a cumulative g.p.a. of 3.45 or better.
Each student-athlete selected to the NESCAC All-Academic Team must be a sophomore, junior or a senior starter or key reserve for a varsity team and maintain at least a 3.35 grade-point average. The Trinity women's indoor and outdoor track and field teams, both coached by George Suitor (21st Season). The Bantams finished 20th in the New England Division III Indoor Championships and tied for 27th in the New England Division III Outdoor Championships.
