Nongera Sweeps Short Sprints For Trinity Women's Track And Field At Eastern Connecticut
Willimantic, Conn. - Sophomore Tanya Nongera (Bulawayo, Zimbabwe) won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of 12.85 and 26.54, respectively, as Trinity College competed in the Fifth Annual Eastern Connecticut State University Women's Outdoor Track and Field Invitational this afternoon. Trinity freshman Jenna Wilborne (New Haven, Conn.) won the triple jump with a meet-record distance of 37'01.25", while junior Caroline Healy (Winnetka, Ill.) won the 400-meter dash at 1:01.87. Fellow Bantam sophomore Monika Pandzic (Williamstown, Mass.) was first in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:25.43 that also set a new meet record, and senior captain Katlin Mock (Albany, N.Y.) recorded a winning time of 5:06.86in the 3,000-meter run.
