Hartford, Conn. –The Trinity College men's and women's track and field teams, led by Head Coach George Suitor (26th season), have announced their schedules for the upcoming 2017-18 indoor season. In total, the men and women will compete 10 times during the winter, highlighted by their annual trip to the New England Championships in late-February.
Both teams saw numerous stellar performances last winter and will look to continue to improve during the 2017-18 season.
The Bantams open their slate with the lone meet of the fall semester at the Snowflake Invitational (12/2) hosted by Smith College. The teams begin the 2018 calendar year at the Maroon and White Classic at Springfield College (1/20) before returning to Springfield a week later for the Massassoit Classic (1/27) to close out the month of January.
In the beginning of February, the men and women will split squads to compete at the Wesleyan Invitational (2/3) and the Cupid Challenge at Tufts University (2/3) on the same day. The Following week, the Bantams will travel to Boston to compete at the Valentine Invitational on February 10 and February 11 while some team members will compete in the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT on Sunday the 11th. On February 17, Trinity will take part in the New England Division III Championships, hosted this year by New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) opponent Middlebury. The Bantams close out the month with the two-day New England Open Championships (2/24-2/25) in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
During the final month of the indoor season, the teams will have the opportunity to compete at the Tufts Last Chance Meet (3/3) to improve times in order to qualify for the Division III Championship the following week. Should they qualify, Trinity athletes will head to Naperville, Illinois to compete in the NCAA Division III National Indoor Championships from March 9-10.
