Trinity Volleyball Downs Worcester State In Final Home Match Of The Season


Hartford, Conn. - Freshman OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.) totaled 14 kills and seven digs in a 3-0 win over the visiting Worcester State College Lancers in volleyball action this evening at Oosting Gymnasium.  Trinity, playing its final home match of the season and hosting a "Dig Pink" event to raise breast cancer awareness this evening, downed the Lancers, 25-9, 25-13, and, 25-5, to improve to 11-8.  Worcester State falls to 11-14 with its third loss in a row.

Trinity junior co-captain RS/S Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) contributed 16 assists to go along with five aces, while sophomore OH Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) added 10 digs and sophomore S Jennifer Low (San Francisco, Calif.)  totaled 15 assists and six digs.  Freshman S Jodi Hallet (Gill, Mass.) led Worcester State with 13 assists, and sophomore OH Joanne Grenier (Orange, Mass.) and freshman L Liz Forgue (New Bedford, Mass.) each added six digs.

At the "Dig Pink" event, Trinity volleyball donations for the Side Out Foundation, which is a non-profit dedicated to boosting breast cancer awareness. 

"Almost all of us have felt the horrible effects of breast cancer either through friends or family," Jen Bowman, head volleyball coach at Trinity, said.  "It can be a devastating disease.  We are happy to do our part to help out a great cause, and hopefully help to put an end to cancer."
