Trinity Volleyball Opens Bantam Sports Season With Sweep At Brandeis

Waltham, Mass. - Freshman OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.) had 22 kills in a 3-1 win over the Babson College Beavers and sophomore Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) added 13 digs and eight kills in a 3-0 shutout of the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards, as the Trinity College volleyball team opened the 2009-10 Bantam sports season with a sweep in its first round matches at the Brandeis University Invitational this evening.  Trinity recovered from a 25-23 loss in the first game against Babson to take the next three, 25-23, 25-16, and, 25-21.  The Bantams blanked the Leopards, 25-23, 25-19, and, 25-17, to advance to the gold bracket against Mass.-Boston and No. 25-ranked Williams tomorrow afternoon.

Trinity junior co-captain Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) added 21 digs against Babson, while sophomore MH Courtney Chaloff (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) totaled nine kills and sophomore co-captain Alexandra Pell (San Diego, Calif.) notched 14 digs in the Wentworth match.
