Hartford, Conn., Dec. 9, 2010 – Trinity College senior tri-captain RS Kristen Anderson (West Haven, Conn.) was selected as a 2010 All-New England Senior by the New England Women's Volleyball Association (NEWVA). Trinity, coached by Jen Bowman (7th season), posted a record of 16-8 this fall and finished seventh in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) at 5-5. The Bantams qualified for the NESCAC Championship Tournament for the fourth time in the last five seasons, losing, 3-0, to Middlebury at Amherst in the NESCAC Quarterfinals.
"Kristen Anderson leaves Trinity as one of the premier players we've had, and is without a doubt one of the most versatile players to play for me in my 13 years of coaching," says Bowman. "Kristen was an incredibly smart player with a high volleyball IQ. We will definitely miss her!"
Anderson played in all 24 matches this fall and appeared in all 89 sets, leading the squad with 51 service aces (0.57 per set, 2nd in NESCAC).
