Trinity Volleyball Blanks Rhode Island College In Brandeis Tourney, Season Opener
Waltham, Mass. - Junior OH Danielle Isaman (West Hartford, Conn.) and sophomore OH Hannah Brickley (Melrose, Mass.) combined for 22 kills, 30 digs, and one service aces apiece to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 3-0 win over the Rhode Island College Anchorwomen in the Brandeis University Invitational Volleyball Tournament. Trinity improves to 1-0 with the season-opening victory, while Rhode Island College, which also lost to Eastern Connecticut tonight, 3-0, drops to 1-2. The Bantams, one of four remaining undefeated teams in the 10-team round robin, will play Haverford and Babson tomorrow at 2 and 4 p.m., respectively.
Trinity dusted the Anchorwomen, 25-17, 25-16, 25-16, as Isaman totaled 12 kills and 14 digs and Brickley had 10 kills and 16 digs. Senior co-captain S Jen Low (San Francisco, Calif.) added 24 assists, and senior L Sarah Blagden (Charleston, S.C.) made11 digs for the Bantams.
