Hartford, Conn. – Trinity College volleyball Head Coach Jen Bowman (11th season) has announced her team's 2014 schedule as the Bantams take to the court more than 20 times, highlighted by 12 home contests inside Oosting Gymnasium.
Trinity will open the year on the road, taking part in the Brandeis Invitational on Sept. 5 and 6. During the first weekend of action, the Bantams will square off with Coast Guard Academy, Emerson and Emmanuel.
After their first true road game of the season at Western Connecticut State on Sept. 9, the Bantams will host the Trinity Invitational on Sept. 12-13. During the two-day event, Trinity will square off with Westfield State, Brandeis, Western New England and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Following the Trinity Invitational, the team will have five straight home games to close out September. During that time, New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foes Amherst (Sept. 19), Williams (Sept. 20) and Wesleyan (Sept. 26) will travel to Hartford, while Endicott (Sept. 20) and Husson (Sept. 27) come to town in non-conference action.
In October, Trinity will have six straight conference games, four of which will come on the road. The Bantams will head to Bowdoin (Oct. 3), Colby (Oct. 4), Connecticut College (Oct. 10) and Tufts (Oct. 11) before welcoming in league foes Middlebury (Oct. 17) and Hamilton (Oct. 18). The tenth month of the year will end with the Bantams taking part in the Hall of Fame Tournament. Their opponents for the event on Oct. 24-25 are still to be determined.
Trinity will close out the year and league play with a game at home against Bates on Nov. 1.
