Trinity Student-Athletes Receive Prestigious Honors And Awards

Hartford, Conn. - Several Trinity students and staff members received prestigious honors at the College's annual athletics awards reception on May 1. New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick was the keynote speaker at the event, which featured 13 awards given out each year by the athletic department.

Trinity Fall Student-Athletes Earn NESCAC All-Academic Honors

Hartford, Conn. – The Trinity College fall athletic teams placed 41 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) 2012 Fall All-Academic Team. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.

Trinity Women's Cross Country Closes 2012 Season At New England Championship Meet

Westfield, Mass. - Senior co-captain Annie Penfield-Cyr (Underhill, Vt.) finished 112th with a time of 23:54, as the Trinity College Bantams recorded a 33rd-place finish in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship Meet at Westfield State University this afternoon. Trinity totaled 963 points, which was 68 shy of 32nd-place Mass.-Dartmouth and 27 better than 34th-place Clark. MIT won the team title with 58 points.
